Bordeaux En Primeur 2024
What is Bordeaux En Primeur?
Buying En Primeur or as "wine futures" means you are buying a wine before it has been bottled. Customers are likely then to have a chance to invest or cellar purchase as their own enjoyment with their own choice in advance at a fairly price range.
How does buying En Primeur work?
First, our team has selected number of wines assorted in different categories in terms of customer's favourite, (see attached PDF for details). All wines are sold in original wooden cases, and in many cases, one can choose to have the wine bottled in Magnum, Double-Magnum, Half bottles or Imperial formats. These sizes become much rarer after En Primeur season.
Once the wine becomes physically available after bottling (approximately the first half year of 2027), we will have them all shipped to our warehouse. You can then ask us to deliver your wines, or we can store them for you. (See attached PDF for details)

Vintage 2024 Summary:
- The 2024 Bordeaux vintage was marked by a challenging climate. These weather conditions put both the vines and winemakers under pressure, leading to a notable drop in production compared to previous years.
- Despite these challenges, early feedback from oenologists and winemakers is quite positive. The whites and rosés stand out for their freshness and vibrant fruit. The reds are described as balanced, easy-drinking in their youth, without excessive power or concentration. The tannins are fine and smooth, with some showing good tension, which could lead to excellent aging potential depending on vinification choices (extraction, maceration).
-
Producers who adapted well to the conditions seem to have achieved strong qualitative concentration.
WHITES: The white wines stand apart for their incredible aromatic intensity, where tropical and citrus fruit notes intermingle to harmonious effect. The cool nights of summer 2024 have preserved the wines’ vibrant appeal. Elegant and intense, they are beautifully balanced, lingering and crisp in perfect measure, with no trace of vegetal notes, and where vibrancy and richness combine in subtle harmony to prolong the overall effect.
REDS: The red wines are expressive and reveal surprising freshness and balance. With bright aromatics and dominant red fruit notes, these wines ally silky tannins and verve with moderate alcohol levels, in an elegant, harmonious style. On the palate, freshness and an abundance of concentrated fruit flavours on the mid-palate is an appealing touch. Ready to enjoy young and eminently drinkable, other wines will reveal their age-worthy potential over time.
